Featured Artist Robin M. Cohen

The Friends of the Sierra Madre Public Library are proud to announce that the Featured Artist for the 59 th Annual Sierra Madre Art Fair is Robin M. Cohen.

Robin M. Cohen is a multi-media artist whose talented range encompasses sculpture, painting, sketching, body and face painting, commercial art and signage, and adorning memorabilia. Her uncommon range spans photo-realistic portraiture to abstract stone sculpture and beyond. Whether delighting children with a face-painted superhero or an expressionist-surrealistic mural across a wall, Robin draws from her earlier experience as a dancer to infuse movement and life into each of her creations — large and small.

What Your Support Means

As the old song says, “I get by with a little help from my friends”. It was 1953 when a few visionaries recognized that even a library needs a friend and so began the Friends of the Sierra Madre Library. From that modest beginning, we have grown to an organization of over 300 members whose bylaws state that “The purpose of the Friends of the Sierra Madre Library is to promote awareness of, support for, and utilization of the high quality programs, services, and facilities of the Sierra Madre Library as a lifelong center of learning.”
